The Louvre visit with Deanna as our guide was one of the highlights of our trip.   She is just an excellent guide, so full of information.–Linda Pellerito. Grand Rapids, MI

Meet your Guide Deanna McMillen

Deanna is an American art historian  originally from San Diego, California. Her initial reason for coming to Paris was to study French. However, her fascination with the city, its history and art made her choose to stay on and to enroll at the prestigious Ecole du Louvre. After four years of study, she obtained a degree in art history with honors with a specialization in French seventeenth century  painting. She then went on to use her skills in art history and to gain experience by setting up a program of classes in Parisian museums for study abroad students from American universities. The Louvre and Orsay museums were an important part of the curriculum which ran for fifteen years. Today, Deanna loves sharing her passion for art and Paris with visitors and students by leading private tours. When she’s not out exploring the Parisian art world and finding subjects to photograph, she studies Italian and takes ballet classes.
