Ciel de Paris

You don't have to wait in long lines at the Eiffel Tower or eat a 3 star meal to enjoy a spectacular view of Paris. Just grab the express elevator to the top of the Tour Montparnasse for a coupe, lunch or dinner.

All too often "view"restaurants serve barely edible food, but that is not the case here. Chef Christophe MARCHAIS and Patissier Pascal CHANCEAU have crafted a menu that will be deightful even at ground level.

I began my experience with a generous  salad of sucrine lettuce, avocado and crab meat that opened my taste buds, accompanied by a rosé champagne from Ruinart.

A hearty veal chop with baby carrots and chinese artichokes i a creamy celery sauce with vin jaune would have satisfied the most critical carnivore. A delcious Medoc was perfect.

I still had some wine in  my glass so I chose to skip dessert (next time ) so I had an assortment of cheeses on a bed of walnut oil dressed mesclun.
